iLASIK, a modern dimension of LASIK, overcomes the former by using two lasers instead of one, as in earlier versions of the procedure. In the first stage of iLASIK, wave-front technology maps the unique characteristics of the individual’s eyes. Then, an ultrafast, computer-guided laser creates a corneal flap. This laser replaces the hand held microkeratome blade used in older forms of LASIK technology and makes the procedure exceptionally safe. After the flap is created, the wave-front mapping data guides a second laser for vision correction. The combination of these advanced laser technologies creates a custom-fit procedure clinically proven to provide excellent safety and visual results. Hence with this advancement the accuracy and performance goes beyond expectations. As it yield 100% results during its preliminary test cases and there is no other technologies found yet to replace or overcome iLASIK tremendous performance and safety.

Detection of individual authentication in the field of Biometrics is obligatory and its discoveries are improving day by day. The researchers invented lots of security devices with magnificent performance especially designed for Border Security Forces, Military and few other areas. One among them is LASIK, which is a retinal based sensory detectors used very commonly in NASA and US for the benefit of civilians. LASIK information and its procedures has been tapped by the Department of Defense (DOD) and NASA to improve the vision of specialized personnel facing extreme, physically demanding conditions. The unbeatable performance of LASIK technology has enforced scientists for a detailed study in its principles in order to develop its version, which lead to the invention of iLASIK.
